About JD Painting
Having completed an apprenticeship in painting and decorating over 20 years ago and becoming
a registered painter in Perth, I am operating as a sole trader under my own name, Jonathan Doney, JD Painting.
I understand that your house is your home, and I treat all my clients with the respect and consideration they deserve. I appreciate pets and they seem to appreciate me, so you won't need to put them away when I come to paint your home.
I only use low VOC paints, for my health and the health of my clients.
Low VOC refers to the paints volatile organic compounds, while the term organic in VOC's may sound harmless, it is anything but harmless. VOC's are released into the air at the drying point, and also for the whole lifetime of the paint on the substrate, this is why there is a strong toxic smell when oil-based paints are used.
While some people may hold to the old rules that oil-based paints are stronger and last longer, the new technology in water-based pigments, resins, and binders means that oil paints are no longer needed and more often than not, a water-based low VOC paint is a superior product.
A quality paint job is not just about the training and skill acquired over many years to apply the paint effectively, it is knowing the how-to, regarding preparation and the knowledge of why the substrate has broken down and how to repair it. Dulux Is my preferred paint supplier due to their superior product line. I also use Porter's paints for their quality in decorative effects.
I am fully insured and my work is guaranteed, my pricing is competitive to the market, considering I do not have the overheads of the bigger companies, I specialize in adding value to your home and pride myself in doing it right the first time.
